On the occasion of Republic Day, under the “Swachhata Khelotsav 2026” organized at RSMT located in the UP College campus, a 12-over cricket match was played on the second day between MBA and MCA students.
The MBA team delivered an excellent performance and won the match by three wickets. After winning the toss, MBA captain Abhishek Singh chose to field first. The MCA team set a target of 111 runs in 12 overs. The MBA team successfully chased the target, winning the match with five wickets remaining.
The title of Player of the Match was awarded to Kaustuk Singh from the MBA team. Saurabh Singh was declared Best Batter, while Gaurav Rai received the Best Bowler award. MCA captain Abhay Yadav also displayed an impressive performance.
The umpires for the match were Dr. Brijesh Yadav, Ratan Singh, and Dr. Shailendra Tiwari.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Vikas Kumar, Branch Manager of Indian Bank, along with Special Guests Dr. (Major) Arvind Kumar Singh, Professor Subodh Singh, and Satendra Bahadur Singh, met and interacted with the players. Professor Aman Gupta, Director of RSMT, welcomed all the guests.
The Chief Guest distributed the prizes and emphasized that sports are an essential part of life. Sanitation workers were also honored on this occasion.
As a Special Guest, Dr. Subodh Singh highlighted the importance of sports for the overall development of students and took a pledge to keep the institution clean and plastic-free. Dr. (Major) Arvind Kumar Singh informed students about the historic ground of UP College and stressed discipline through sports.
Carrom players Sudhanshu, Devendra, Harsh, Jia, Shivali, Nancy, and Ayushi Singh were also awarded. Satendra Bahadur Singh, citing the example of football, encouraged students to cooperate with each other in life to achieve their goals.
As the Convener, International Masters Athlete Anurag Singh explained the objective of the Swachhata Khelotsav and expressed gratitude to all guests, players, sports enthusiasts, and sanitation workers.
All teaching and non-teaching staff members, along with a large number of sports lovers, were present on the occasion.
