Proctorial Board

There are certain rules and regulation framed by the Institute, which are to be followed to maintain the cordial atmosphere in the campus (among the students, faculty members and non teaching staff). The Proctorial Board headed by the Chief Proctor (disciplinary authority of the Institute) helps students, faculty members and non-teaching staffs from any difficulty and to see that the disciplinary rules are followed properly. Proctorial Board consists of Chief Proctor and Proctors are conscious and concerned about interests of students, faculty members and non-teaching staff.

Some specific responsibilities of the Proctorial Board are as follows:

• To maintain discipline in the Institute.
• Ensure University and Institute rules are understood and followed.
• To keep an eye on the general moral behavior of the students.
• Prevent students from disturbing the peaceful atmosphere of the Institute by indulging in acts such as raising/ writing slogans, shouting in corridors and quarreling etc.
• To prevent the student from indulging in any political activities on Institute premises.
• To ensure that each student is properly dressed as per Institute rules and prominently displays his / her identity card during their stay on Institute premises.
